Haven't been on here in a hot minute, but here's an update! After my stress fracture a few months ago I spent a lot of time getting into cycling, and wow what an adventure that is. I got a Cannondale CAAD12 and cycling is definitely a second love. I'll find some way to keep incorporating it into my training. I've been slowly building up running for a while now, and I'm up to running 4 days in a week for 45-50ish minutes each time. I still have a long way to go to be where I want to be but I'm very happy with the progress I've made so far and the patience I've developed with my training. I have a lot of goals swirling around my head for the next year and once I get to some higher mileage I'll start adding some quality workouts and start developing my speed again. Today I didn't feel great the first mile but pushed a little bit after warming up. I averaged around 6:15-6:20 for the next 5 miles and that felt SO GOOD. I haven't done something that fast for that long since before my mission.
