Sick race today, I felt so freaking good it was unreal. Note to self; always give your body what it needs to recover. 2:02 in the 800 today. Also somehow I managed to negative split, 62 then a 60. The first lap was nice, I got a little boxed in at the start, but who doesn't? On the back stretch I picked it up a little bit and passed most of the guys, and stuck with the leaders. The first 200m was 29 or right around 30, so that's cool, but I got stuck in lane 2 coming around the bend. On the home stretch, I passed more guys and got into 3rd place. On the back stretch of the second lap I passed another guy and was gaining on the leader at the 200m mark, but he really turned it on and kinda flew away. I picked it up as well and stayed in second through the finish. I felt great with a 5 second pr! Shout out to Kobe for letting me borrow his shades during my race, Connor for officially qualifying for state in the 3200 by 2 seconds, and Brady for finally getting a sick 3200 in the books!
