First race back today! Wow it's been a while... My plan was to just stay calm the first mile and build from there. First mile was 5:05, and it felt pretty calm and controlled. Second mile was 5:26, so I slowed down a little bit, but I was either holding my position or passing people that whole time. Also just trying to stay with Parker. Third mile was 5:31, and I had to fight for that one. With .75 to go Jamie pointed at an Orem kid a little bit ahead of me and said o had to catch him and that made me scared because she sounded pretty darn desperate... I didn't end up catching him but I did all I could. I didn't die super hard but it left a fair amount to be desired. All in all not a bad first race back at all... I'm excited for state and Nike. Also, the team got third so we're headed to state!!! Huge shoutout to Guppy for getting 2nd overall and the girls team for also getting third and making it to state!

Good things:

1-Controlled first mile. Fast but not too fast.

2-2 seconds away my region time from last year. Not bad for not running for 2 months.

3-I fought every time I hurt. No giving up happened here.

Thing to work on- work hard to hold pace the last mile
