Personal: I returned from serving a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in early April 2020.
-Currently studying Exercise Science at BYU, hoping to pursue a career in physical therapy or a similar profession studying/working with the human body.

| Sweet distance run today, 6 miles @7:03 AP. We started out with a nice walk lol then I got sick of walking so some of us actually started our run. It was a good time and I'm super glad that I finally made it to my low mileage, 6 miles! Shout out to Megan and Dallin bc we got roxberry after practice and to me bc I planked for 7 minutes straight before finishing the 20 min of abs #swole |

| Warmed up 2 miles, then got started with the speed workout. We did 6x(400m,200m) at goal indoor mile pace with 45 sec rest within the set and 2 min active rest between sets. My splits were 66,34,67,33,66,32,66,33,66,32,63,33. I was super happy today because once we found the pace, we were just able to tick em off one by one. It was a great workout but Jamie wouldn't let us go all out the last 200 so that was lame. Also, Ryan, Thomas, and I had a super tight pack the entire time so that was awesome. I'm finally realizing potential. I'm ready to throw down a fast mile at Simplot. Shout out to Ryan for trusting my pacing abilities for one of the 400s😂 and it was right on pace haha |

| Swimming during lunch with Austin and Sami so shout out to them. Then we went to the temple and it was fantastic. Michael tagged along for that part. Also shout out to my mom for bringing me a delicious salad to eat while we lifted weights. I got some really weird looks from the soccer girls in the weight room considering I was barefoot eating a salad in very bright shorts and a very bright shirt (different color, they didn't exactly go together lol) benching my heart out. I'm pretty sure they love me tbh. |

| AM: 4 easy miles, I convinced my mom to let me race the 800 tonight so we'll see how that goes. PM: 800m at the distance challenge. I started out it a good position, second place by the time the curve came right on the inside so that was great. I came through the 400 in 59, and this is where is got stupid. Hearing the split 59, the thought ran through my head, "oh you're totally good you just hit a 59" and I pulled up. Stupid stupid stupid stupid. It wasn't like I really slowed down I just didn't push myself like I could've. Then freaking Adam Wood out-kicked me in the last 100m and I was sprinting as hard as I could when I saw him out of the corner of my eye. I'm sick of him sitting and kicking by me. It all came down to that second to last 200m. Gotta work on that. But all in all it was a pretty good first 800 of the season with a PR. |
