Speed on another trail by the ocean today, I couldn't get to a track so I just went by the lap distances on my watch. Workout was 3x(400m, 200m) at goal pace for this weekend at Arcadia. 2 min rest within the set, 3 min between sets. All active. Haha pacing on a paved trail is rough when you're used to a track, so my splits were kinda all over the place. They were 69,31,61,30,64,31. There was this kinda creepy guy following me on a bike so I turned around and went his direction and he didn't follow so that was good. The trail went through some foresty area and it was dang beautiful. I'm loving it here.

6 miles at 6:59 ap through San Francisco and along the ocean. San Fran has a lot of freaking hills and I probably went a little fast lol but there's lots of oxygen here so it was a good time. Beautiful place.

6 miles in Modesto this morning. I had to wake up at 6:00 to get it done, aka way to flipping early to be alive on a vacation. Started out way easy with an 8:09 mile then did premeet for the mile along the road. 2x400m at goal race pace, and I nailed the paces, 65 and 65. My form felt choppy for the rest of the run, I think I'm just missing running with the guys. That usually helps. Way excited to see everyone tomorrow, it's been way too long

4xmile at Arcadia today. Ryan and I warmed up 2 miles, and Thom and Connor warmed up like 10 minutes after us. We went to the tent, got checked in, and put our spikes on. I was pretty darn nervous at this point but was doing my best to calm down because I'm not the best when I'm nervous... Anyway, Ryan started us off in a good position, then I got the baton and it was time to go. I kept it conservative, letting some guys pass me because I could tell they were going out way too fast. First lap was a 66, and it felt soooo good. Second lap was also a 66, and then things got crazy. I started the third lap and picked it up quite a bit, passing some guys. Idk what the splits were on the last two laps. The last lap I kicked it in and finished with a very strong kick. If I had to guess I'd say my split was around 4:22, but I'll update that when I can see official results. Either way it's a major PR so I'm way happy. I finished and I felt like I had more in the tank, so we'll see if I can push it a little more next time. Still figuring this whole racing thing out... Then I handed off to Thomas, and he moved us up a couple spots too, and then Connor got the baton, and we were in 7th. Top 5 get medals. Connor killed it and got us into 5th, so that was sick. Shoutout to Ryan, Thomas, and Connor because I loved running the 4xmile with them. Shoutout to Michael and Austin for killing the 2 mile. Lastly shoutout to Guppy because she's pretty awesome and she's racing tomorrow.

Update: My official split was 4:23, so a 9 second PR, so I'm way happy!

6 miles on the dreadmill at 7:30ish pace. I ran on the treadmill because my watch was pretty much dead so it wasn't going to last through a run outside. Not much else to say except that treadmills are incredibly boring, it reminds me of the bike room lol.

Huge shoutout to Connor, Zack, Ryan, and Thomas for killing it in the 3200 today, going 9:07, 9:09, 9:14, and 9:27 respectively. They freaking threw down in those races and I wish I could've been there to see it.

Shoutout to Guppy for going 5:12 in the full mile, so that's a solid PR for her, it was way fun to watch!
