State. I warmed up a mile, and got ready to race the mile. I wasn't super nervous, so that was good. I started out, and went straight to the back after the first curve, so I could stay on the inside. The pack was huge and never really split up very much... splits were 66,66,65,66. All with various decimals. Anyway, I hung out in the back the first 2 laps, then surged a lot and passed most of the pack right before starting the third lap, and tried to pick it up from there. The last lap I would've had to run a 62 to go under 4:20, which I am more than capable of, but my kick simply wasn't there today. Like my legs wouldn't go much faster, idk what was up. Oh well, it was a decent time I guess.

Then I did the 800 in the medley, and Dylan got me the baton in first place, so that was dope. I just threw down and won my heat (prelims) and it was a grand ol time. Idk what my split was though... but it felt good.
