6 mi in Arizona this morning. We drove to the local canal trail so that was cool. I saw some cotton fields, a homeless guy with a sweet setup on the side of the trail, and many dogs barked at me so shoutout to them. 6:55 ap

6 miles. Legs are still dead, idk why... 6:55 ap. I threw a couple 6:20's in there to wake up the legs a little bit, we'll see how they feel tomorrow for the 10k. I drove down to a spot further along the trail I've been running on so I could explore further down a bit. It was cool. I listened to eat and run some more so that was a plus. Scott Jurek is a beast

Warmed up a mile, then got going! My plan was to start at 6:00 and drop 10 seconds every mile depending on how I was feeling. My splits were 5:50, 5:43, 5:40, 6:01, 6:19, 5:57, and the last .2 was at 5:03 pace. That 5th mile was a little rough, it's a gradual uphill the whole mile. I'm still getting back on top of sodium intake and hydration, as well as reevaluating my daily nutrition, or lack thereof. I didn't feel quite as dead today but the legs were definitely still a little heavy. Cool down 1 mile.

7 miles exploring Mesa/Tempe Arizona. I definitely unkmowingly went to the more sketchy part of town so that was eventful. Kept me on my toes that's for sure. 7:24 ap

7 miles today, I went down a much safer road than yesterday so that was a plus. I found a gorgeous golf course and a huge river with a stick path by it. Driving to Vegas tonight and home tomorrow. This was probably the last run in shorts and a t-shirt for a while... Except footlocker. 7:18 ap
