I'll say it from the start, this course is a beast. Warmed up 1.5 miles, then started the race. The start was literally horrible and I got crazily boxed in. I had to do some serious weaving to get into even a decent position. I was hoping to try and stay with Thom today, but I wasn't ever able to make it up to him. The first mile wasn't fast at all, my watch said 6:11. The second mile was some good downhill, 5:43. The last mile included the ever famous mutha cussa, which I made up without walking, then the gradual uphill after that absolutely murdered me. Around 7:15 pace on that part and there was nothing I could've done about it #dontjudge. That one was like a 6:25 mile. The combination of downhill, then the mutha cussa, then the gradual uphill makes for one insane course, so kudos to herriman.

I've had a cold for the past couple days so that didn't help, and I need to change something when it comes to races. I can do awesome in workouts, but come race day, I can't deliver. I'm definitely going to see what I can do about that.

Shout out to Kobe and Guppy, who both got 4th in their races, and to us for getting 2nd.
