Today we had a very very difficult hill ladder workout. We did 3 sets of 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, all at 5k pace, up airport hill. The only rest we got was jogging back down to the bottom. When we finished the first set, I knew I was in for a rough time. By the middle of the second set my legs were really feeling it and on the jog down after the 300 I had a major side stitch and I started hyperventilating a little bit, and a few tears may or may not have been shed. The third set for me was pretty much all guts. Starting the workout I was honestly debating whether or not I would be able to finish. The last 400 and 500 up that hill I gave everything I had and Connor and I sprinted out the last 50 meters. It hurt like heck, but that was the goal. Shout out to Spencer for helping me get into a better state of mind after the second set. Also shout out to pain, because it became my friend today. |
