| So I showed up at practice, gave Nate an update, and he sent me to the trainer to talk to her. I then proceeded to get poked, prodded, taped, massaged, and tortured for the next 2.5 hours as Jody worked out some knots in my hips, quads, and calves, then realligned my hips because they were all wonky, probably from all the driving in the last couple weeks. It was just a lack of maintenence that escalated into some pretty serious tightness and pain. The plan is to bike through the weekend while doing lots of rolling out and stretching, take some ibuprofen for inflamation, and do a test run on Monday

| Hopefully this is my last full day of biking, I'm gonna try to start running on Monday. Today I did a 10min warmup, 6x(3min medium-hard, 2min easy-medium) to pass the time, and 10min cooldown.

| Today was a big improvement! I was mostly pain free the whole run and completely pain free when not running. I'll keep loosening up my calf and reducing inflammation and things should be great |

| I'm starting to wonder if my ankle is getting better at all. I didn't even make it half a mile today, it was hurting pretty bad and it was pretty swollen. I'm doing everything I can for it. So I hopped on the bike and worked pretty hard to keep my hr at about 150 for 45 minutes. Any and all prayers are appreciated, if anybody even still reads my blog lol

| I went to the meet (here at ISU) for most of the day to watch, and shoutout to my teammates for killing it. My ankle was feeling no bueno so when I got back I biked for 50 minutes, and while I was biking I listened to a pretty cool podcast about ultrarunning so that was cool. I want to be racing so freaking bad but I gotta take care of my body.

| I went to the trainer and I'm gonna be getting ultrasound treatments done every day before practice to help the inflammation. After that I went to the pool but didn't have time to finish my workout before they kicked me out for the kayaking class so I finished on the bike.

| I had my Dr's appointment today. He did ultrasound on my ankle, and it turns out that it actually is achilles tendonitis that got pretty bad. My left achilles was twice the thickness of my right achilles, lol it was pretty swollen. So I'm taking two different prescribed anti-inflammatories, and doing PT 3 times a week and I should be back in a month. Fingers crossed. It feels really good to actually have a plan in place to get better
