State. Wow. Before I get ahead of myself, I'll start from the beginning.

We got to the meet pretty early so we could watch a lot of the other races. We saw PV race, and they killed it, so shout out to them, especially Nick Hill because he won, nbd. Also PV girls, you killed it and it's time to focus on nxr. As a famous song says, the past is in the past, let it go.

Guppy killed it in her race and it was super cool to see her go out there and get work done. She got 14th overall and str8 killed it.

When we first got there I saw a long lost friend Madi from ol SF, so shout out to her because catching up with her was pretty great.

Then came our race. The culmination of the season, smashed into around 16 minutes. Going in to the race, Jamie and coach G made it very clear that they believed in us and our abilities, and knew that we could accomplish amazing things. We got warmed up, and I was surprisingly calm and collected. At the same time I was ready to go. We did our strides, prayer, and cheer in the box, and let me just say, I freaking love our cheer because everyone always stares at us after it. It's fantastic. So the gun went off, and I was just focused on staying calm. No way was I going to go out too fast and die. I don't know what my splits were, but the first mile felt good. I was right behind Joe, and I did my best to stick with him, Michael, and Austin from then on. We picked it up a little bit and passed some guys, but I mostly held my position. At the top of the hill by the road above the playground Jamie was cheering, telling me that I was strong. That really helped, and I was hungry to pass more people. I threw in a surge, passed a couple guys, and pushed it down the hill. Then the third and final mile came, much faster than expected, and I realized, this is it. This is the last mile of the last race of the official season, at state. What choice am I going to make? I chose to keep pushing, and I finished strong in 16:13 and 34th place.

Although this was a good race individually fo me, I can do better. There is still a gap between my speed workouts and races, so I talked to Jamie and we'll see what I can change mentally to kill it at NXR.

The team as a whole did amazing. We got second place and reached our goal of bringing home a trophy. I love my team so much and I'd do anything for any one of those guys. We screamed our cheer at the top of our lungs on the track afterwards, and it was fire. We then got our trophy and took a victory lap, cuz why not?

It was seriously cool to see the support we got from our whole team and how much they cared about how we did, so shout out to them.

Another shout out to my family and non-running pals who came to support, love you guys.

After a cool down on cloud 9, we proceeded to pizza pie cafe where we stuffed our faces with the best tasting pizza I've had in a long time.

Also shout out to all those who read to this point, you da real mvp's.

Last but not least, our team still has things to prove, so watch out at NXR.
