This was actually Saturday's run, I got the days mixed up on the calendar and I'm too lazy to actually fix it. So today it was Chuck, Dallin, Megan, Logan, and I. I took my shirt off and man that felt great but I am ultra white lol time to fix that. Shoutout to Gan for running 75 miles this week and being faster than all of us lol.

4 with Chuck and Dallin, I'm definitely not in the best shape ever but I'm pumped to be able to get back into it. I've run pretty consistently on my mission, just not a ton of mileage. I was doing 3/day, so that's a good starting point.

4 easy, which was super nice!! I listened to some good ol' Bastille and Khalid. I was going to listen to PEABOD but I didn't want to wait for my watch to sync up the music so I just used what I had. The music feature on the watch is seriously nice. I gave my white skin some sun and hopefully soon it won't be so white!

Fun time today, my mom wanted to do the rex lee run so my fam drove up to the MCT and did a 5k out and back thing. Logan and I kinda tempo-ed it, I wanted to see how I would hold up going a little quicker. It was better than I expected! We averaged 6:34 for the 5k and my hr peaked around 180. Good times. Shoutout to Chuck for giving me some music recommendations

Did the usual 2.3 loop with Taryn then finished out to 6 myself. I ran into Logan a mile or 2 in and ran back to the house with him then finished out the last .5. I figured since the miles with Taryn are ultra slow I can afford to bump up the mileage a little faster! I also started work today at a warehouse and I spent 6 hours taking faulty packaging off energy shot bottles next to ladies that definitely don't speak English 😂 at least I got Logan there with me to keep it interesting.

Went up to Skyridge and did some barefoot miles. Kept the hr under 160, twas a good time. I wrote up a vague outline of a training plan for May to keep working up my mileage. I did 33mi last week, so I'll do 25 this week, then 40 next week. I'll keep alternating easy/hard weeks while building up mileage pretty quick. I'll adjust as needed based on how my body is feeling. Suggestions? Am I doing it totally wrong?

90% sure I have a stress reaction/fracture in my tibia after consulting the ever-reliable dr google lol. Either way it's been hurting bad for a week or two now and nothing I'm doing is fixing it soooo I'm gonna cross train for a week or two and see what happens. Super fun ride today, having a hr feature on the watch is soooooo useful to make sure I'm getting a good workout. Went 21 miles and was cruising. Haven't been on here in a hot minute, but here's an update! After my stress fracture a few months ago I spent a lot of time getting into cycling, and wow what an adventure that is. I got a Cannondale CAAD12 and cycling is definitely a second love. I'll find some way to keep incorporating it into my training. I've been slowly building up running for a while now, and I'm up to running 4 days in a week for 45-50ish minutes each time. I still have a long way to go to be where I want to be but I'm very happy with the progress I've made so far and the patience I've developed with my training. I have a lot of goals swirling around my head for the next year and once I get to some higher mileage I'll start adding some quality workouts and start developing my speed again. Today I didn't feel great the first mile but pushed a little bit after warming up. I averaged around 6:15-6:20 for the next 5 miles and that felt SO GOOD. I haven't done something that fast for that long since before my mission.
