We did the Dream Mile and a Half this fine morning, and it went pretty decently! Connor and Ryan took it easy because of the workload they had last week at the BYU xc camp, and Thom wasn't there. We started off at a good pace, and it was Chris, Michael, and I in a line in the front. Chris slowed down a little bit just after the overpass, and so it was then Michael and I in the front. We came through the mile at 5:36, on pace for an 8:24. Going up Airport Michael fell off a little bit, and I pushed what I could through to the end. I won and ended up with a 8:51, so I obviously slowed quite a bit that last half mile. Next time I'll try to have a more even pace throughout.

Shout out to Connor, Garek, and Ryan for slaying at the byu camp.

Low mileage distance run, we followed main street until we had to turn around, then we came back. We then had an upper body weight workout #getswole which I did after we went to kneaders. Kneaders french toast is pretty much amazing and if you haven't ever had any, you are definitely missing out.

Shout out to Michael for doing the weight workout with me after kneaders!

We had a nice low mileage distance run today, 6 miles at 7:06 avg. The splits were 7:55, 7:35, 7:03, 6:56, 7:04, and 6:03 to finish it off. Austin, Ryan, and I really felt like cruising it in at the end there! It was great!

We then did core, went to Thom's house for some power balls and chocolate milk, and hit up the spring of living waters for an ice bath.

Maddy also joined us for the first couple miles, so shout out to her!

Medium mileage distance run today, 7 miles at 7:36 avg pace. The first half was right around 7 min pace, but I didn't feel like that was enough recovery for the tempo run tomorrow so I backed off quite a bit.

Shout out to Thom for driving all 10 billion of us to the start of our run today so we didn't have to run around little ol' Lehi for the millionth time

Tempo run today! 3.5 miles between 5:30 and 5:45. We did a 1.5 mile warmup then got going on the tempo.

Jamie had me pace today with Austin as the "wingman", the first mile was 5:43, second mile was 5:40, then we got to the commitment point at 2.5 miles and Thom, Connor, Michael, and Ryan picked it up and took the lead. At that point I was have a pretty hard time holding the pace, my third mile was 5:55 and we came through the 5k around 17:52. The last half mile was pretty rough, 2:57.

My mental game wasn't what it should've been today, but I stayed in the lead and paced the group at least until the commitment point, which is what Jamie wanted me to do.

We then went to the Hinckley's house for some killer french toast, thanks Mama Hinckley!

Oh and shout out to the missionaries who came to breakfast and the sweet elder who was from the Philippines, where I used to live, so another shout out to my homies back in Cebu!

Connor, Thom, Austin, Michael, and I ran the real deal today, which was quite the run to be doing the day after a hard tempo! We also took some sick pictures, so if you're following us on insta you should see some of them soon. Austin, Michael, and I turned back after 4 miles because we had 8 today, where Thom and Connor had 12.

Michael was a dingus and left his keys up the canyon, he didn't figure that one out till we got back to Thom's house. Then we had choco milk and pretzels with some killer hummus!

Shout out to Candace Hill for being a frickin fast sprinter.
